1. Sell your stuff on Facebook Marketplace. 💸

If you’re like me, you’re probably on Facebook way too much. 

Why not use that time selling some of the random stuff you’ve managed to accumulate around your house. 

You can sell furniture, clothes, tools, vehicles, toys, jewelry, plants, dishes, appliances, pet supplies, sporting goods, and the list just goes on and on.

Learning how to make $100 a day by selling things on Facebook is just as easy as posting a status update. 

The easiest way to handle the exchange of goods for money is to choose PPU (porch pick-up), but be safe because you’re giving your address to a stranger.

In addition to Facebook Marketplace, you can also make $100 a day listing items in Facebook buy-and-sell groups. 

These groups are often neighborhood specific or related to your interests, like crafts, baby/toddler, etc.

2. Sell your stuff on Craigslist.👍

I’m starting with the “sell your stuff” ideas because they are legitimately the easiest way to make $100 a day. 

You already have the things, people can come to you, and your earning potential is really only limited to the kind of stuff you’re willing to sell.

Craigslist has been a long time favorite way for people to sell things online, but because Craigslist is even more anonymous than Facebook, you need to protect yourself when you sell to strangers.

You can make $100 a day selling the same kind of stuff on Craigslist as you do on Facebook, but I recommend meeting in public places when you are exchanging money for goods.

3. Sell your clothes on Poshmark.👌

I learned about Poshmark from some of the women in my life – it’s easy to use online marketplace for fashion. But, you can actually buy and sell men’s and kids’ clothes on Poshmark too.

To make $100 a day with Poshmark, open your free account, go through your clothes and see what you’re not wearing anymore. As long as your clothing is in good condition… no one wants old shirts with holes and pit stains… list and share your items. Poshmark contacts you when someone has purchased something, and they supply you with a prepaid shipping label.

4. Flip furniture.🏡

Do you have some furniture sitting around your house that needs refurbishing? Maybe it’s a dresser that needs a fresh coat of paint and some new drawer pulls.

Taking old, worn out furniture and giving it some new life is a great way to make $100 a day because even if you don’t have something at home, you can find something really cheap. Big trash days, second-hand stores, and garage sales are great places to find items to flip.

Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, and eBay are easy places to sell your flips.

5. Pet Sit.⛬

It might take a few days of petting sitting to earn $100, but I’m putting it on this list because it’s something I remember doing when I was younger to make quick, easy money.

You can tell your friends and family that you’re interested in pet sitting, post on social media, or you can use a website like Rover to advertise your services.

6. Sell your poop.💰

Before you laugh, this is a real thing that people do.

OpenBiome is a company that supplies stool for fecal transplants. It can be a life-saving treatment for patients with C. diff infections. You have to be super healthy to be eligible, live in the Boston area, and pass a rigorous screening process.

Three donations a day at $40 a poop will net you $120 – you just made $100 a day plus some.

7. Do lawn work.👷

Mowing, raking, weeding, trimming bushes… if any of that sounds like your kind of afternoon or weekend, then lawn work might be an enjoyable way to make $100 a day.

Advertise in your neighborhood, use social media, or advertise on Craigslist.

8. Clean houses.🏡

I have a friend who made anywhere from $30-$50 per hour cleaning houses, and she could do a couple of houses per day. It might not be a fun job, but it’s a great way to supplement your income if you don’t mind cleaning up after strangers.

9. Participate in clinical research studies.🏥

Universities, medical companies, drug companies, and more all need human participants for medical research studies. Depending on the study, you might have to stay overnight, come back in for blood draws, etc.

There are studies for people who have certain diseases or disorders, and there are also studies for healthy individuals. You can use ClinicalTrials.gov to search through a database of over 300,000 different research studies around the world.

10. Run Facebook Ads for small businesses.🚏

This is my all time favorite way to make money on the side, and it’s more than making $100 a day – running Facebook ads has the potential to turn into a full-time income.

Students in my Facebook Side Hustle Course generally start making $1,000 a month with just 2-3 hours of work per week. There are even several students who have hit the $5,000 a month mark!

11. Become a respondent.👂

Respondents are people who participate in market research studies, and companies pay good money for the opinions of those in their target audience. Respondents make anywhere from $25-$200 per study.

You can find respondent jobs on Q-Insights, Respondent.io, and Fieldwork.

12. Teach English online.🌎

VIPKid is an online teaching and tutoring platform for teaching basic English skills to Chinese and Korean students. You will need a bachelor’s degree, but it doesn’t have to be in teaching or English. Because of the time difference, you can easily work this outside of “normal” business hours.

Teachers on VIPKid make up to $22 per hour.

13. Become a virtual assistant.헲

I am completely dependent on my virtual assistant Mel, and she is one of the reasons that things over here at M$M run as smoothly as they do. It’s a great job for her because she can work from home while taking care of her young children.

Virtual assistants can have a variety of online tasks, from answering emails, scheduling, setting up a calendar, managing social media accounts and Pinterest, and more. You can use Fancy Hands to find jobs that pay between $3-$7 per task.

14. Help with outdoor home maintenance.😍

There are certain jobs around my house that I hate – cleaning out the gutters is the worst. And the thing is, there are lots of people who really dislike doing this kind of stuff and are willing to pay pretty good money to have someone do it for them.

You can clean gutters, repair paint, trim overgrowth, fix sidewalks, etc. These are jobs you can advertise or find on social media or by advertising in your neighborhood.

15. Help with home maintenance and repairs.💪

Patching drywall, fixing a leaky sink, painting, hanging pictures, etc. – even though some of these tasks can be easy to do, lots of people are willing to pay for the convenience of having someone else do them!

My only caveat with maintenance jobs is that you need to know what you’re doing so that you don’t make someone’s home unsafe.

16. Walk dogs.🐶

True story… there is an 11-year-old kid who walks around my neighborhood a couple of times a week asking people if they want him to walk their dogs. He charges $4 per dog, and he always makes bank.

Not a cute kid? Then you can use Rover, the company I mentioned for pet sitting, to find dogs to walk.

17. Babysit.👶

Before you think that you’re too old for this… I see you, parents, shaking your heads, ready to scroll past this…  hear me out.

From what my friends with kids tell me, babysitters are paid pretty well (around $10 per hour, per kid in my area) and you’re basically just playing games, eating fun snacks, and watching cartoons for a few hours. And then, their parents come back! I mean, I would love this.

Care.com is a safe online database of babysitters, nannies, and other types of caregivers.

18. Find a gig on Craigslist.👌

I did a quick Craigslist search for “gigs” in my area and found a few ways to make $100 a day, they are:

Haul stuff out of a backyard and basement, $150 for the job.

Face painting at a kid’s birthday party for $25 per hour.

An over the road truck driver wanting someone to wash, dry, and fold their clothes and clean the inside of their truck for $100.

19. Drive with Uber or Lyft.🚗

I get a lot of questions about whether or not driving for Uber or Lyft make a good side hustle, and while they aren’t leave-your-day-job side hustles, you can earn some extra money driving for a ridesharing service.

According to Nerdwallet, the average per ride cost for Uber is $15.97, and for Lyft is $11.48, but each company will take a cut. To make $100, that could be 8-10 rides per day.

20. List your house on Airbnb.🏘

Going out of town for the weekend? Willing to crash at a friend’s place for the night? You can list your house on Airbnb to make $100 a day or more depending on where you live and what your house has to offer.

This is great for people living in touristy areas, and if you don’t want to rent out your entire house, you can rent a room for less.

21. Rent out storage space in your home.㍖

If having people stay in your house isn’t your thing, you can make some side money letting people store things in your basement, shed, attic, spare room, etc.

I’d make sure it isn’t anything weird or illegal, but other than people needing to stop in to grab their things, this is a pretty passive way to make a little extra cash.

22. Write resumes.✍

Resumes are the first impression you make on a potential employer, so they need to be super professional while also standing out. If writing resumes don’t induce anxiety as it does for some people, this could be a sweet way to make $100 a day or more.

By 2027, it’s expected that 50% of the population will be freelancing. These are jobs for writing, editing, design, photography, social media management, web design, digital marketing, and more.

Freelancing means leveraging the skills you already have to make extra money on the side. Depending on the freelance work you do, including the level of experience, freelancing is a great way to make $100 a day and maybe one day turn into your full-time job.

Upwork and Fiverr are popular websites for listing your services and finding clients.

24. Become a tutor.👨👧

Speaking from experience as a former high school teacher, there are always going to be parents willing to pay top dollar for tutors. You don’t need to have an education background either, just above average knowledge or skills in a specific area of study.

Tutors for ACTs or SATs can earn around $30-$50 per hour, but with more experience and a strong list of references, you can make upwards of $100 per hour.

25. Decorate for the holidays.㊫

Your ability to make $100 a day here is that this is seasonal work, but if you don’t mind climbing a ladder and hanging lights, this job is one you could find via social media or by advertising in your neighborhood.

There are also people who pay to have Christmas trees decorated, wreaths made, etc… I would be no good at this, but I know my wife would kill it – she constantly amazes me with her budget-friendly, boujee-rific design skills.

26. Bartend for events.👰

As professional adults, we sometimes forget how fun and lucrative jobs at bars and restaurants are, especially ones that pay in tips too.

I’m not suggesting you take a second job, but if you know someone who is getting married or hosting a big event, let them know you’d be up for making some cash as a bartender. You would probably be way less expensive than hiring a service, and a tip jar with a few dollars already in it motivates customers.

Grocery delivery services have made life much easier for busy families and working professionals, so why not capitalize on that need and deliver groceries. It’s not a high paying job, but you can make $100 a day working 6-8 hours a day for companies like Instacart or Shipt.

On TaskRabbit, I searched for people willing to move furniture in my area, and I found a number of people charging around $30 per hour. If you’re in a large city, have a truck to move things, you may be able to charge closer to $50 per hour.

30. Start a blog.✍

Becoming a blogger isn’t going to earn you $100 a day (or a week, or month) in the beginning, but for anyone who is willing to put some work and patience into it, blogging can be a nice supplement to your income.
